SUMMARY:

This directory contains hydrologic simulations based on the dynamically downscaled NCEP-NCAR 
    Reanalysis (NNRP) data for the period 1970 to 1999. The hydrologic simulations were
    generated using the Variable Infiltration Capacity (VIC) macroscale hydrologic model and
    data are available at a 1/16 degree spatial resolution over the domain.

DIRECTORY STRUCTURE:

There are 3 subdirectories (one historical run, the NNRP run, and two methods for bias-correcting 
    the NNRP run):

    1) WRF_NNRP_cdfBC:
        VIC model output, WRF data is first bias-corrected using the quantile-mapping approach
        (CDF). This method adjusts the probability distribution from the model to match that of
        observations (the set of observations in the HIST set above).
    2) WRF_NNRP_clmoBC:
        VIC model output, WRF data is first bias-corrected using an approach that matches the
        simulations to the monthly climatology (average for each month for the 30 year period
        for the data in the HIST set above).
    3) WRF_NNRP_noBC:
        VIC model output with no bias correction applied to WRF simulations.

Each of these contains a subdirectory ("netcdf_daily") containing daily fluxes in netcdf 
    format, aggregated into one file per month.

Zipped archives of daily forcings are also available for each realization of VIC.
